Lisa came to see me in Feb/19 with a wedding dress she had ordered online. She wasn’t happy with it. It required a lot of “structure” to the bodice and the skirt didn’t hang nicely. While Lisa was explaining why she was so frustrated with her dress, she pointed to one of the gowns in JUNE BUG BRIDAL’S inventory saying, “I want the bodice to be like THAT one!” I was just about to say…”do you want to try it on” while she was sputtering out…” can I try that one on?” The rest of the story is history. Lisa chose a gown called Cinderella II, because that is exactly what the dress would remind you of – a Cinderella Princess. It is white organza over a satin full ball-gown skirt, delicate embroidery over a Juliette Bodice with lots of boning = STRUCTURE!!! It was pretty much a perfect fit, so in less than 30 minutes from trying it on, it was SOLD to Lisa. I turned the neckline into a sweetheart by removing some center boning and making a gathered sweetheart dip. I also hemmed and bustled the skirt and voila’ – a Beautiful Princess was presented. Lisa was thrilled with her new wedding gown, as it was “exactly what she was looking for & had dreamed of wearing on her wedding day”.
