one stitch at a time, carefully executed with keen craftsmanship
& LOVE
Eryn is a delightful Free-Spirited gal that loves to make a statement. Look at her in this 100% sequined & glass beaded vintage dress. A dear friend gave it to her. I transformed it from a full zipper high neck back to a very low back. I took it in by at least 2 sizes, made the side slit higher, and hand stitched many of the sequins in place after it was fitted to the proper size. You canβt sew over sequins without breaking needles or causing very sharp edges that can scratch your skin or snag other items. Along all the altered seam lines, rows of sequins had to be carefully removed first. Each one was sewn on individually so I needed to secure any open threads to prevent losing sequins. She looked at a million dollars in this black and silver beaded dress.
The green Gatsby flapper dress required hemming and a lower neckline. Eryn is masterful at applying two sides tape to keep her fabulous outfits where they need to be. She even ordered a feathered headpiece to go along with her party dress.
The yellow satin and chiffon beaded dress was given to Eryn by the same friend as the black dress. It was again 2 sizes too large, required a complete re-design of the skirt; layers removed, hemming and reattaching a ruffled flounce with lace inserts. Eryn knows how to party and her makeup and hair are always perfect. She is such a fun girl to work with. Thank you Eryn for trusting me with your special occasion dress alterations.
